My unstable Gnome build has some issues with the coloring of focused widgets, e.g. selected tabs look like this:

The same thing happens for empty treeviews: those appear completely colored blue instead of in the regular white. I have no idea how to investigate this further, therefore I’m blogging this. Is this GTK+, the theme engine or something else?

Update: It seems this is the Clearlooks engine doing some strange focus drawing. Not sure whether it’s intentional, but it’s very annoying and causes e.g. flickering screens when using sloppy focus (open 2 empty nautilus windows and move your mouse to check). Please revert to something sane! Thanks.
